Land Reform in Zakarpattya Oblast of Ukraine in 2008
State Committee of Ukraine on Land Resources announced the following figures:
Land titling: as of January 1, 2009 land titles were issued to 111638 citizens (91.6% of citizens who received land share certificates), actually handed over 94785 land titles.
Privatization of household plots: 167014 citizens privatized their household plots (32.4% of all users of such plots).
Monetary valuation in settlements: normative monetary valuation has been completed in 401 settlements out of 609 (9 cities, 13 towns and 379 villages), including 111 settlements in which valuation was completed in 2008.
Land market: in 2008 at the primary market there were sold 472 plots of non-agricultural use with the total area of 168.9 ha and aggregate value of UAH 93.5 million. To compare: in 2007 there were sold 411 plots (221.6 ha, UAH 86.2 million). The average price of 1 square meter at the primary market in 2008 grew by 42.3% comparing to 2007. At land auctions there were sold 29 plots with the total area of 31.4 ha and aggregate value of UAH 31 million. There are 97 plots prepared for the sale at land auctions.
