The Agricultural Policy Forum (APF) 2010 deals with ‘Bridging the gap: Agricultural and rural policies in South Eastern Europe (SEE) facing the challenge of EU compliance’. The overall objective is to foster the implementation of EU-like agricultural and rural development policies in SEE with respect to a further integration of the region’s agricultural and rural sector into the EU.
The conference is designed for high-level executives and decision makers from ministries, governmental and non-governmental organisations working for or in the agricultural and food sector as well as rural areas in SEE. In addition, high-level representatives of German and international policy and development institutions dealing with the topic will be invited to participate as well.
Commissioned by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Agricultural Policy Forum 2010 will be developed and accomplished by InWEnt, Capacity Building International, Germany and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH. The Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in SEE (SWG) and the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO) join InWEnt and GTZ in developing and coordinating this conference.
