Monetary normative valuation of land in Ukraine
State Committee of Ukraine on Land Resources reports the results of monetary normative valuation of land (MNVL) as of April 1, 2010. MNVL is used for the purposes of taxation mainly and serves as a basis for calculating land tax and ground rent for state-owned land.
As of April 1, 2010, MNVL was completed on 419429 ha of non-agricultural land outside settlements which represents 3.84% thereof (10909.9 thousand ha).
Out of 29815 settlements having area of 7437.3 thousand ha MNVL was completed in 24728 settlements at the area of 6354.08 thousand ha. This makes up 82.9% of settlements and 85.4% of their area.
MNVL has been completed in the cities of Kiev and Sevastopol, in settlements of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Odesa and Sumy Oblasts.
MNVL has been completed on 99.5% of the total area of cities of Oblast significance, 86% - of towns of Rayon significance, 86.3% - of towns and 82.8% - of villages.
Works on MNVL are almost finished in Volyn Oblast (98.6% settlements), Dniepropetrovks Oblast (97.9% settlements), Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (97.5%), Kyiv Oblast (96.7%), Poltava Oblast (94.2%) and Ternopil Oblast (98.6%).
Crimea with 20.8% and Chernigiv Oblast with 54.6% are lagging behind other regions.
