Rural Land Titling and Cadastre Development Projest is under threat of delays
State Committee of Ukraine on Land Resources informs about the progress of implementation of the World Bank – financed project "Rural Land Titling and Cadastre Development".
As of September 1, 2009, there have been issued 566197 land titles and delivered to land owners 452861 land titles.
The total area of area filming of the territory of Ukraine as of September 24, 2009, is 368905 square km (over 60% of the area of Ukraine). Orthophoto plans of 1:10000 scale were produced for the area of 266016.5 square km, at the scale 1:5000 – 21417.7 square km, at the scale 1:2000 – 3152.87 suare km. Index maps were produced for the area of 32662 square km.
Committee also informs that recently works were going slowly in 4 Oblasts of Ukraine, namely Dniepropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Lugansk. Committee decided to cancel the contract with Swissphoto AG alleging that the company breached its contractual obligations. Committee informs that notification on intent to cancel the contract was sent in March, and notification on cancelation – in June. Swissphoto AG has not accepted allegations and insisted on further working under the concluded contract . As soon as the Committee is not going to give up, the company shall bring the matter to court scrutiny. That may result in new delays - first of all, for the period of court proceedings, and secondly, if the Committee wins the case, for the period of carrying out of a new tender for the respective job.
